Job Description

Incumbent

The Parish of Rushmere St Andrew

We are seeking and praying for an ordained minister to come
and lead us on the next stage of our journey and help us
develop our Growing In God strategy, namely:

* to grow in depth of discipleship
* to grow numerically
* to grow "younger"
* to grow in influence and service.

St Andrew's is a financially sound parish with one church and
an ASA of 130. It is situated on the outskirts of the county
town of Ipswich in beautiful Suffolk. There are good road and
rail links to Cambridge, Chelmsford, London and the coast.

We are seeking an incumbent who will value our existing
mix of traditional and informal worship. We would welcome
applications from those who, in addition to gifts in biblical
teaching, have the enthusiasm to attract more families and
young people into the life of our church and lead Christ-
centred worship that is inspiring for all ages.

We will offer our new vicar a very warm welcome into a well
established, loving and caring congregation. You can rely on
our prayers and support, hard work and enthusiasm, skills and
experience.
